"Sharing God's Love" Globally
Christian women of every continent including 70 countries have participated since 1956 in Fellowship of the Least Coin to express concern for reconciliation and peace, to pray for sister Christians, and to intercede for those in special need
The token of participation is a "Least Coin" (pennies in U.S.) set aside each month by the individual each time she prays for peace. The giving of only the "least" of each one's coin assures that all women everywhere stand equal.
These funds are gathered annually in a common fund which is given in the name of Christian women without identification of its original source and is administered through the Asian Christian Womens Conference.
Contributions - "gifts of love" - are used for ministries of mercy on every continent and for experiences which create Christian community around the globe among those of all national, racial, economic, cultural and denominational backgrounds.
CWU Gift Certificates
Tax-deductible, $10, $15, $20, $50, $other
Gifts Certificates may be designated:

Seed money to create Revolving Loan Fund and/or

Grants Fund both of which enable poor women – in U.S. and internationally – to gain skills, self-help, income and empowerment.

CWU General Funds to be used to carry out the mission of CWU (e.g. publications/materials, unit development, advocacy for policy and practice critical to health and economic well-being of women and children.)

Disaster Relief - globally where needed. Certificates are distributed to churches each year. Bring the contributions for Ingathering in November at World Community Day, please.
We also invite the giving of Gift Certificates to honor friends and loved ones as tributes or memorials and as alternative gifts for special occasions. Columbia Unit memorializes deceased members, spouses and immediate family by giving a CWU Gift Certificate.
